Scott Keet, 56, of 7 Sycamore St., Norwalk, is charged with operating under the influence. His bond was set at $500 and his first scheduled court date is Feb. 9.

Westport Officer Rachel Baron observed a tan SUV fail to stop for the red light on Riverside Avenue at the Post Road West intersection. As the officer turned around, the vehicle turned into Parker Harding Plaza and struck a parked vehicle, police said.

The officer stopped the vehicle and identified the operator as Scott Keet. Keet had an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, his speech was slurred and he had glassy eyes, police said. Keet then failed the standardized field sobriety tests, police said and he was taken into custody. Keet refused to submit to a breath test, police said.
